About the Artist

Boozhoo! I'm Aerius Benton-Banai, the heart behind House of Jingle Dresses. I come from Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe tribe and I am bullhead fish clan. From my first jingle dress at 17 to the intricate designs today, my journey is a tribute to the incredible people in my life, past, present, and future as well as my ancestors who paved the way for me generations ago.
Without their survival and resilience, I wouldn't be where I am today. My dresses reflect my passion for the continuity of strong Ojibwe identity. Each stitch carries intention, beauty, and a connection to our roots. Thank you for supporting my passion and allowing me to share this journey with you. I love sharing my passion for culture and connection through House of Jingle Dresses.
